Out & about Local Street Pastors

Street Pastors

mark_hadfieldJoin weekend teams from over 15 local churches "listening, caring and helping" on the streets of Hilton (7:30pm to 11pm), Merkinch (7:30pm to 11pm) and the City Centre (10pm to 3:30am).

Or if you are able to give from an hour to a morning or afternoon during the day we've started a Daytime initiative in the city centre. We work with those in need in the city centre, liasing with other organisations to get help for those in need.  This gives us an opportunity to reach both the lost and lonely in the city, and also through the service we get to share with people in the organisations, agencies and business community.

Volunteers need to be over 18 and willing to complete 12 days of training spread over a 1 year period, and volunteer for a patrol per month. All of our Street Pastors find the work extremely fulfilling and enjoyable, and find their relationship with God deepening in ways that just doesn't happen any other way. We have a strong ethos of professionalism mixed with a great sense of fun, as we seek to be available for God to work through us into situations that are at times deeply profound and life-changing.

We start the training course approximately once per year. If you're interested in joining the next course then contact Mark Hadfield, phone 01463 243 603 or 07761 293 108, or email inverness@streetpastors.org.uk.
