A bit of history…
1988 The King’s Fellowship starts in a house with Thom, Ruth and a few families and quickly moves to the Thistle Hotel
1989 19th February 1989 is officially constituted
1990 King’s moves to Midmills building of Inverness College
1997 King’s moves to Millburn Academy
2001

• The Factory (formerly used as a fish processing factory) comes on the market in January
• In May the Fellowship (60 families) commits over £190,000 to the purchase and development of the building
• Factory is purchased on the 14th July
• The summer is spent cleaning out the tonnes of rubbish
• December sees contractors start work on replacing the roof and completing internal demolitions
2002 
• We work every Friday and Saturday during October and November to dig out the concrete floor - 55 tones of concrete!!
• December sees contractors on site to start the main developments
2003
• The contractors complete the main works at the end of June
• We spend a very hot summer completing the fit out and decoration of the inside and outside of the building
• The building is opened on Saturday 16 August
• Coffee House opens to the public
2010
• Contractors start on the extension to the back of The Factory
• The extension is opened 31st Oct 2010
